REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM

Hello SECA clubs & families,

Welcome to those invited for SECA Representative program & trials.

The objective of our Representative program is to afford ‘emerging talent’ the opportunity to play at a higher level against other cricket associations via the VMCU carnival.

⦿ More specialized coaching/ advice/ skill development

⦿ Playing in a side with more focused roles and responsibilities

⦿ Helping develop cricketers for higher honours/ future pathways

All underpinned by creating new friendships and having some ‘cricketing’ fun!

SECA will field 6 x Boys ‘Rep’ teams across junior age groups U12x2 / U14x2/ U16 /U18 at the annual VMCU Carnival.

SECA enters various age teams in the annual VMCU Competition in early-mid January each year. Details for the 2026 carnival are:

Teams Entered (provisionally):

U12 x 2 (Mitchell Shield & Josh Browne Plate)

U14 x 2 (Des Nolan Cup & Russell Allen Shield)

U16 x 2 (Keith Mackay Shield & Jim Beitzel Shield)

U18 x 1 (Phil Arnold Shield)

For players to be selected in any SECA team, they must be nominated by their clubs. Nominations will be called for (from clubs) in August of each year & trials will commence from October

There is NO OTHER way for players to attend trials or be selected in Rep teams.
